The only scene I didn't fully understand was when her daughter (name escapes me right now) is looking at herself in the mirror and her face is covered by her hair. The book is told through Delores police statements. The movie ventures far beyond that into a series of flashbacks. Taylor Hackford did a superb job bringing this novel to life on the big screen.
