I honestly didn't expect much from a horror movie from the 70s. But I thought, well I'll give it a try. And it turned out I really enjoyed watching it. It's intense and you go through all emotions - anger, terror, powerlessness, joy. The actors are really good and Sissy Spacek's eyes are one of the creepiest things! Of course the music and the make up is typically 70s, but it's not so bad. As you said, altough Carrie has one or two kind of horror scenes, it's more a psycho thriller and it's therefore also recommendable for people that are usually not interested in the genre....

And it turned out I really enjoyed watching it. It’s intense and you go through all emotions - anger, terror, powerlessness, joy. The actors are really good and Sissy Spacek’s eyes are one of the creepiest things!
Of course the music and the make up is typically 70s, but it’s not so bad.

As you said, altough Carrie has one or two kind of horror scenes, it’s more a psycho thriller and it’s therefore also recommendable for people that are usually not interested in the genre.
